(July 12, 1957– January 17, 1991) USN who was shot down during the Gulf War. He was the first American combat casualty of the conflict, although his death was not confirmed until August 2, 2009.

who was in the 101st Airborne Infantry "Screaming Eagles" in Vietnam 1969-1970.
He was discharged at the rank of Sgt. and was awarded the Bronze Star during his tour. In 1999 he died of lung, brain and bone cancer that was linked to Agent Orange Disease by the Veterans Administration.
